A Saveiro foi lançada lá pelos anos 1982/83, e o projeto simplista não passava de uma derivação direta do hatch Gol com a carroceria cortada na traseira. Até a capacidade de carga era quase igual nesses dois modelos da VW. De lá pra cá a coisa mudou e muito! A Volkswagen lançou nesta quarta-feira (16/3) em São Paulo, a nova Saveiro (ano/modelo 2017) que recebeu, além de mudança no design frontal e traseiro, alterações na parte interna. O objetivo explícito da marca alemã é, a partir de agora, começar a dissociar essa imagem de “carro derivado do Gol”, passando a mostrar ao mercado um veículo que evoluiu em todos os aspectos, inclusive na parte mecânica.
Evolução >> Além da nova identidade visual própria (e também já adequada à conformação estética global da VW), o utilitário ganhou em inovação tecnológica e conforto. A picape agora incorporou os novos sistemas de infotainment VW App-Connect. Disposta em sete possibilidades de configurações, o modelo conta com três opções de carroceria (simples, estendida e dupla) e alguns recursos de segurança inéditos nessa categoria de picapes compactas, como o controle eletrônico de estabilidade (ESC) e freios ABS off-road, este último, um sistema já usado na VW Amarok e que é mais eficaz em pisos escorregadios e/ou arenosos.
Design >> Após 33 anos de história da Saveiro com o design vinculado 100% ao do hatch Gol, a picape ganhou traços mais livres e pessoais, digamos assim. Na parte frontal o capô é diferente do Gol e está mais elevado do que o da picape anterior. Pode até não parecer, mas o conjunto ótico também é inédito e o recorte do capô também é novo. O para-choque dianteiro também é diferente do utilizado no Gol e Voyage. Agora, conforme a versão, o para-choque da nova Saveiro traz frisos cromados que cruzam a grade e têm ligação direta com os faróis.
Painel novo >> O interior do veículo, especialmente o painel de instrumentos, foi completamente reformulado. A Saveiro ganhou novos bancos e, dependendo da versão, ostenta um volante multifuncional idêntico ao do Golf, conferindo bem mais requinte e sofisticação à picape. Associado a isto, o utilitário oferece mais tecnologia. Ela vem equipada com o sistema App-Connect que permite o espelhamento de smartphone na tela sensível ao toque (de 6,33 polegadas) com as plataformas MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay e Google Android Auto. O modo faz, também, leitura de mensagens de texto (SMS) do celular por meio dos alto-falantes, possibilita respostas de mensagens por comando de voz e permite o pareamento – via Bluetooth – de dois celulares simultaneamente.
Motorização >> A nova Saveiro Cross (oferecida com cabines estendida e dupla), vem equipada com o motor 1.6 MSi de 4 cilindros e 16 válvulas Total Flex. A unidade tem potência máxima de 120 cv a 5.750 rpm e torque de 16,8 kgf.m. Já as versões Robust (essa é a mais simples e voltada mais para o trabalho) e as outras Trendline e Highline vêm com o conhecido motor 1.6 Total Flex de 104 cv de força e 15,6 kgf.m de torque. A VW atesta que o conjunto de suspensões foi recalibrado e o modelo também ganhou novos pneus. As mudanças deixaram a nova Saveiro mais alta em relação ao solo, proporcionando mais robustez, sem perder a boa dirigibilidade de um automóvel de passeio.
Enfim… >> Com possibilidades bem distribuídas de versões, a nova Saveiro abre um leque interessante que vai do carro mais simples (Robust) voltada especificamente ao trabalho, passando por duas possibilidades do tipo “meio termo” até atingir o topo da linha, que vem com rodas mais elegantes (com freio a disco nas quatro), vidros e trava elétricos, chave tipo ´canivete´, “santantônio” com grade de proteção da janela traseira, acabamento melhor nos bancos (com couro sintético), volante multifuncional, forros de porta mais luxuosos, alarme, dentre outros itens. O modelo ainda oferece possibilidade de controle eletrônico de estabilidade, BAS (auxiliar do ABS), ASR (controle de tração), EDS (bloqueio eletrônico do diferencial) e controle de assistência de partida em rampa.
