Modelo queridinho dos bilionários de Los Angeles e Dubai, o Mercedes-Benz Classe G nasceu em 1979 como uma opção diferenciada para a prática do off-road. Oferecia-se naquele instante a resistência da famosa marca alemã agregada ao conforto que não havia em carros desse tipo. O Classe G evoluiu em requinte e tecnologia e hoje encontra-se no topo do cardápio da MB. É um dos mais caros e, curiosamente – apesar da incrível capacidade fora de estrada que tem – é mais utilizado pelos ricaços no asfalto.
Evidentemente, para aumentar as vendas e, por que não, ressuscitar a poeira do passado, a Mercedes decidiu ampliar a linha “G” lançando o ´G350d Professional´. A versão despojada e com motorização a diesel é focada no uso extremo off-road e também em aplicações profissionais esgotantes, como o uso do carro por empresas que necessitam executar os seus serviços em locais de difícil acesso, por exemplo.
Apesar de a nova versão ser um pouco menos requintada, o modelo conserva todo o luxo característico dessa família. Ele traz pacote completíssimo de informação e entretenimento, com ótimo sistema de som, navegação e comunicações via celular por comandos de voz. Confrontando-se com esses mimos, o G350d Professional mostra o seu lado operante com grades de proteção de ferro nos conjuntos ópticos e assoalho do porta-malas em madeira e aço.
Com milhares de fãs leais em todo o mundo, o line-up desse automóvel atende a todos os tipos de exigência. Essa citada versão vem com motor V6 a diesel de 245 hp, mas há outros propulsores disponíveis até se chegar ao poderoso V12 turbo à gasolina, topo de gama da Mercedes-G/AMG. A Mercedes-Benz comemora o lançamento do G350d, pois ele representa a volta de um modelo cross-country à sua carteira. O design purista (com grade e rodas pintados em preto), é outro atrativo desse off-road único.
Como todos os modelos da Classe G, o G350d possui tração permanente nas quatro rodas, com três relações eletricamente selecionáveis, além de 100% de bloqueio no diferencial. O motor diesel V6 possui deslocamento de 2.987 cm³ e, segundo a Mercedes, apesar do aumento de potência (em 33%) o imponente papa-terra está com o motor 15,4% mais econômico. A transmissão automática 7G-Tronic Plus doa um conjunto de condução eficiente com conforto nas trocas.
O modelo tem capacidade de reboque de até 3.200 kg, volante multifuncional, coluna de direção elétrica (com ajuste de altura e profundidade), piso com superfície anti-derrapante, para-choque dianteiro de aço com preparação para um guincho, faróis bi-xenon, rack de teto, dentre outros opcionais. O Mercedes G350d Professional é ofertado em duas cores sólidas e onze pinturas metálicas. A marca começou a aceitar as encomendas no dia 1º de junho, mas ele somente estará disponível para entrega em setembro deste ano.
