A Lincoln (fabricante de carros de luxo e subsidiária da Ford) já mostrou para a imprensa especializada o Navigator Concept, carro ainda em finalização, mas que já representa a futura geração desse utilitário esportivo. O luxuoso modelo terá mais espaço, melhor desempenho e acabamento em couro, madeira e aço, numa clara inspiração nas embarcações de luxo.
O Navigator Concept foi mostrado com a cor que será a pintura de lançamento. O Azul Storm (tempestade, em inglês), traz, segundo a marca norte-americana, tonalidades que imitam o céu e o mar. O modelo tem um compartimento especial para a organização de roupas, mas o aspecto mais diferenciado desse SUV está no design das portas e num curioso mecanismo de acesso ao interior. O Navigator Concept tem portas elétricas do tipo “asa de gaivota” e também uma escadinha retrátil e iluminada.
O modelo também tem muita tecnologia embarcada, além de ótimo padrão de conforto e potência respeitável. Ele vem equipado com assistência de pré-colisão com detecção de pedestre, alerta de manutenção na faixa, sistema de estacionamento automático e câmera de 360 graus. O interior todo forrado em couro azul, traz seis bancos com ajustes em 30 posições.
Com motorização V6/3.5 e dois turbocompressores, o Navigator desenvolve pouco mais de 400 cavalos de potência.
